Now is the time to let us know what you want brought forward during negotiations. Our current contract expires March 2027. Proposals need to be submitted for review by January 2027; therefore, we are asking for your input now so we can get started. This contract is in regards to our Local Agreement, not our Central.
Please read the current collective agreement or refer to the table of contents for ideas. When you email your proposals, please refer to the article in the collective agreement that you would like to change.
Examples of items that can be discussed for the Local Agreement include:
- Scheduling
- Union leaves of absence
- Vacation time off and scheduling rules
- Scheduling Premiums (consecutive tours, consecutive weekends, time off between shifts)
- Meal breaks and rest periods
- Job sharing
It is important to remember that things being brought forward during negotiations should have clear demonstrated need/evidence to be able to back our proposal.
Your current QCH Local Bargaining Team will be decided after elections on Oct 26 2026. You are welcome to email QCHBUP@ona.org with items you want brought forward during negotiations or comment on this post.
